To get to EPCOT from the Grand Floridian, you will take

the resort monorail and exit at the Transportation and

Ticket Center, which is the third stop from the Grand

Floridian. Exit the monorail car on the right and follow

the overhead signs "Monorail to EPCOT" which will take

you on a path down a ramp, around the station, and up a

ramp to the queue for the monorail directly to EPCOT.

The trip to EPCOT takes about 10 minutes

from the TTC station to the EPCOT station.

 

To get back to the Grand Floridian from EPCOT, take the

monorail from the EPCOT station which will head

directly to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

From the TTC, switch to the resort monorail.

The Grand Floridian is the second stop.

 

The EPCOT monorail runs continuously only between

the Transportation and Ticket Center

and the EPCOT Monorail Station.

 

The Resort Monorail

begins service at 7 am and runs until

two hours after the

Magic Kingdom closes.

 

The Express Monorail

runs only between the

Transportation and Ticket Center

from 8:30 am until one hour

after the Magic Kingdom Closes.

This monorail does NOT stop

at any resorts.

 

The EPCOT Monorail

begins service at 7:30 am and runs

until 1.5 hours after the

Magic Kingdom closes.

The Express Monorail runs only between the

Transportation and Ticket Center and the Magic

Kingdom. This monorail does NOT STOP

at any resorts.

It runs direct from TTC to MK

 

It begins service at 8:30 from the TTC and runs

until an hour after the Magic Kingdom park closes.

 

While staying at a monorail resort, you probably

won't even ride this monorail. This monorail is

convenient for people that drive and park at the

Transportation and Ticket Center.

 

 

The Grand Floridian Resort has convenient and easy transportation

options to all of the Walt Disney World Parks.

 

To the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT use the monorail.

 

To the Disney Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, water parks

and Downtown Disney take a bus.

 

There is also a boat that runs between the Magic Kingdom,

The Grand Floridian, and the Polynesian.

The Walt Disney World Buses begin service one hour before the

parks open. They stop running approximately two hours after

park closing time.

 

From the Grand Floridian you will need to take a bus to get to

Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, the water parks, and

Disney's Hollywood Studios.

 

The bus stop is in front of the Grand Floridian toward the

Convention Center. The buses run about every 20 minutes.

The boat between the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, and the Magic

Kingdom begins service one half hour before the advertised park

hours until up to 45 minutes past the Magic Kingdom

closing time.

 

From the Grand Floridian, the boat will go to the Polynesian. From

the Polynesian it heads to the Magic Kingdom. After stopping at the

Magic Kingdom the boat goes back to the Grand Floridian and

cycles continuously through these three stops.

 

The Grand Floridian,

The Polynesian, and the Contemporary

are the resorts on the resort monorail line.

Staying at a resort on the monorail line is a huge

benefit. The convenience is priceless.

 

The monorail station at the Grand Floridian is on the

second floor - right outside the lobby. The first stop

from the Grand Floridian is the Magic Kingdom, then

the Contemporary, The Transportation and

Ticket Center, The Polynesian, then back

to the Grand Floridian.
