These

photos show

room 4322.

This deluxe

room is on the

third floor

overlooking

the Beach Pool.

There are

2 queen beds.

Deluxe rooms

are in the main

building, Royal

Palm Club

concierge.

The standard rooms are furnished with either two queen beds & a daybed or a king bed and love

seat. Between the queen beds is a nightstand offering more storage space and displaying an

iHome iPod docking station alarm clock combo. Flat screen TVs are conveniently placed up high

above a chest of drawers. Below is a built in refrigerator. The desk conceals a useful roll out

table. Many rooms also have an upholstered chair and ottoman. All of the rooms have a ceiling

fan and standard rooms have either a balcony or patio.

The bathrooms

in the guest rooms are

very nicely laid out. The shower and

toilet are separate from the vanity area.

The showers have wide shower heads and are

adjustable for different strengths of water

pressure. They have a nice crescent shower curtain

rod, which gives more space. There is also a hand bar

on the marbled tiled wall and built in soap dishes.

The vanity area has twin sinks, a makeup mirror,

large picture mirror, and full length mirror.

There is a nice wide counter area and ample

room for toiletries. This is where the

coffee maker is set up

on a tray.

Grand Floridian

Lodge Tower Rooms are a

bookable category in all outer

lodge buildings except Sugar Loaf Lodge,

where the three lodge tower rooms are

request only. Lodge tower rooms sleep 4

guests with two queen beds. They have the

additional space of the turret area that is

furnished as a little sitting room with

a love seat, sofa table, arm chair,

and second TV.

King rooms

at the Grand sleep 2.

They are furnished with a king bed

and a love seat. There are standard king

rooms and Deluxe king rooms. Standard king

rooms are found in the outer lodge buildings.

The deluxe rooms are in the main building

and come with club level services.

These deluxe king rooms

are honeymoon rooms or

turret suites.

Dormer Rooms are the standard

rooms on the top floor of each

lodge building that have high

vaulted ceilings and adorable

gabled rooftops over their

solid wood rail balconies. These

rooms come in both king bed and

two queen bed configurations.

Several of the suites on the 5th

floor of the main building are

also dormer rooms. The dormer

rooms - with the exception of

the dormer suites - are a bit

smaller than standard rooms

but have a unique charm to them.

The wallpaper in the bathrooms is an

adorable "hidden Mickey" print with

characters as topiaries. There are hidden

Mickeys & other characters throughout

the rooms - on furniture, wallpaper,

draperies, upholstery, comforters, and

even in the carpeting through the lodges.

The Rooms are lovely and spacious with

touches of Disney magic.

There are THREE types of Deluxe Rooms at the Grand Floridian. All three are in the

main building and are concierge rooms. Two types of these rooms are king rooms. The other

type of deluxe room has two queen beds. The deluxe rooms are about 650+ square feet.

The King rooms come in two different floorplans. The first is on the 2nd floor overlooking

the marina, with a direct castle view. These rooms are the "honeymoon" rooms.

The second type of deluxe king room is a "Turret Suite". These turret rooms are on floors 3

through 5 and have courtyard or Beach Pool views, panoramic windows, but no balconies.

They have a large sofa sitting area and a walk- in closet.

The deluxe queen rooms sleep four, have a sofa sitting area, courtyard or Beach Pool views,

larger than standard balconies, and are on floors three and four of the main building.

The deluxe queen rooms are NOT in turrets. They are just larger, more spacious rooms.

This room is

Deluxe King

Turret Suite

4430 which is

at the front

of the Grand

Floridian

overlooking

the monorail

and the Beach

Pool and

Polynesian

beyond.

These photos show a king room on the second floor of the

main building, Royal Palm Club. This room is over Gasparilla's

Grill, faces the marina and the castle across the Seven Seas

Lagoon. These rooms are in a wing of their own and are more

quiet and secluded than other main building rooms.

These rooms are considered Honeymoon Rooms.

The only way to guarantee a King Room is to

book a Deluxe King Club Room. If you book a

standard room, you can request a king bed,

but it won't be guaranteed.

The Rooms at the Grand Floridian Resort are luxurious yet manage to feel warm and

cheery. They have Victorian touches from the woodwork trim to the antique style

furnishings and decor colors that add up to a very comfy and cozy guest room.
