All the guest rooms at the Grand Floridian include amenities & features such
as hair dryers, robes, iron & ironing board, coffeemaker, electronic safe,
make-
delivery, high speed internet access for a fee, and laundry services and
facilities available. With the recent upgrade of the rooms, the beds have
fluffy pillow top mattresses and the rooms have iPod docking stations and
flat screen TVs. The Grand Floridian also provides turn down service...a
lovely touch to come back to at the end of the day.
Turn down Service....With turn down service,
you enter the room to find the lights are
dimmed, the curtains drawn & quiet music is
playing. The beds are turned down and ready
for slumber. Placed on the pillows is a
lovely Grand Floridian note card with a
Disney quote wishing you magical dreams and
Belgian chocolates wrapped in Grand
Floridian printed paper.
Often there is also a little extra magic for
the children....the housekeepers do
adorable little arrangements with any
stuffed animals in the room. You might
return to see dolls & animals all tucked
into bed holding the TV remote, watching
favorite shows, or reading bedtime stories
together. Our kids always enjoy the
surprise of seeing what their "friends" have
been doing while we've been away. Also
included with turn down is a quick clean up
of the room. The used towels will be taken
and replaced with fresh new ones, toiletries
will be restocked, the waste cans will be
emptied, and ice added to the ice bucket.
Cribs, bed rails and microwaves are
available on request.
The Grand Floridian also offers 24 hour room service and a nice broad menu.
You also have the choice to preorder your room service breakfast to be
delivered at a specified time. With turn down service, a menu card will be
placed in your room. Just fill it out and hang it on the door. Breakfast will
arrive as scheduled. See "DINING" for more detailed information & menus.
the Grand Floridian provides H2O Spa toiletry products to their guests. These include Sea
Marine Revitalizing Shampoo, Marine Collagen Conditioner, Sea Salt Body Wash, Hydrating
Body Butter, Softening Mint Foot Rub, and fabulous bath & facial soaps and glycerin soap.
Shower caps and cotton balls & swabs are also complimentary. Other items such as
toothbrushes and toothpaste are available by request.
The closets
in the guest rooms are spacious and
have full length mirrored doors. Inside the closet
you will find a nice supply of wood and padded
hangers, two bathrobes, an electronic safe, an ironing board
and iron, some low shelving -
hair dryer is stored, and a high closet shelf where you will
find an extra blanket and pillow for the day bed.
There will also be two luggage racks inside
and possibly a pack and play.
