Easter at the Grand Floridian
is a special treat for the whole family.
These photos show the Candy Scramble and party
held on Easter morning, March 2008. The activities were held next to
the Courtyard Pool. Complimentary pastries, muffins, and coffee were served.
Characters were in their dressy Easter finery and spent time having fun
mingling with guests and posing for photos and autographs.
There was a candy scramble for children through age 12.
Following that were crafts, games,
and cookie decorating.

The courtyard was decorated with balloons and Easter eggs & candy everywhere.
Tables with muffins and coffee service were set up near the fountain.
There were Easter baskets as prizes for whoever found the golden eggs.
Characters were on a little stage ready to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
The Cast Members handed out bags to the children that wanted to participate in the
candy scramble. All the kids walked away with full bags after the event.
EPCOT offers several fun
Easter Egg Hunts & tea parties and an Easter Brunch.
The Egg Hunts and the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party are on a
walk up basis. The Easter Brunch in the World Showcase is a reservation
only event. We spent the afternoon in Epcot and the girls
enjoyed some of the activities
happening over there.
The Tea Party in Epcot was a walk up event, however you had to stop by
prior to the party and pick up an invitation with a scheduled return time
on it. This same routine was used for the Easter Egg Hunts held at
various locations in EPCOT. When we returned for party time, Tweedle
Dee and Tweedle Dum came out to welcome the kids and bring everybody
into the party room. Alice and her friends visited with the kids while
they had juice and cookies. Parents could stand up to the side and take
photos. It was short and sweet and a fun way to meet the characters.
