Concierge or club level at the Grand Floridian is a wonderful treat & a lovely way to add luxury
to a Walt Disney World vacation. The staff is fabulous and have always made our stays magical.
There are two levels of concierge at the Grand Floridian.
Royal Palm Club is in the main building on floors 3 through 5 above the Grand Lobby and Sugarloaf
Concierge is in the Sugarloaf Lodge building, a great location, bordering the marina
on one side and the courtyard on the other. Both Royal Palm Club and Sugarloaf Concierge
share the itinerary planning office that can help you make dining reservations, book tours,
wishes cruises, and any Disney extras you'd like during your trip.

Many people wonder "Is it WORTH IT to stay concierge?" Most of this page focuses on the more
tangible WORTH to the club levels at the Grand Floridian, however there is
an ambience and atmosphere that go along with concierge at the Grand that is priceless.
Concierge level brings a more personalized touch and an extra level of service to a
Grand Floridian stay that some guests find adds magic to their vacations.

Both levels of Grand Floridian Concierge share a planning office -
Planning Office, or IPO for short. These cast members in the planning office are
available by phone or email to assist concierge guests
with planning their vacations prior to check in. The IPO can make dining, tour,
cabana, childcare, fireworks cruise, or any other reservations guests might want to
secure prior to check in. IPO can also assist you with any room requests or special
needs you might have. The phone number for planning assistance for concierge
guests is 407-
Grand.Floridian.Itinerary.Planning@Disneyworld.com.
Sometimes the IPO will contact guests first, other times they do not.
Guests are free to make the initial contact and introductions.
Royal Palm Club is the more expensive of the two club levels.
It is accessed through a key in gold elevators on the first and
second floors of the Grand Lobby. On the third floor are the
concierge desks, staffed by terrific cast members. They will be
able to assist you throughout your stay with making ADRs, tour
reservations, cabana rentals, provide park & resort information,
resolve any issues, and basically help you with anything you
might require during your stay. There are also seating areas and
game tables in this area on the 3rd floor.
The fourth floor, is the location of the spacious and sunny
lounge overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon and the courtyard
area. The staff up here is responsible for the food and drinks
offered throughout the day. They serve a nice continental
breakfast in the morning, midday snacks, tea time treats,
appetizers, and then evening cordials. The lounge staff makes
sure that the food & drinks are restocked during these service
hours.
The fifth floor includes more seating space and many of
the suites of the Royal Palm Club. All three of these floors are
easily accessed by using the gold elevators or a convenient
carpeted staircase that goes from the 3rd floor up to the 5th.

It's lovely to sit and listen to the live music

Sugarloaf Outer Lodge Concierge
is wonderful as well as Royal Palm Club. The location is
one of the best. One side of the lodge borders the marina, the other the
gorgeous gardens and Courtyard Pool. The building underwent a complete rehab
very recently and along with the rooms being redone, came the addition of a new lounge.
The building is a key access building. As you enter from either the marina or courtyard side,
you will find yourself in the beautiful new lounge area. The concierge desks are conveniently
located right here, also. Sugarloaf offers full concierge service. Years ago it was
"concierge light". It currently has complete food and drink offerings, as does Royal Palm Club,
and concierge cast members on duty from 7 am until 10 pm ready to assist you with all your
vacation needs. Sugarloaf Concierge is less expensive than Royal Palm Club in the main building
specifically due to the location of this club level in an outer lodge building.
Along with standard outer lodge club rooms, there are one and two bedroom suites
and tower rooms in Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf guests have access to this lounge
and Royal Palm guests have access to their own lounge
in the main building.
There are two types of honeymoon rooms in Royal Palm Club. There are the standard rooms on
the 2nd floor directly over Gasparilla's Grill which have Jacuzzi tubs, and then turreted king
honeymoon rooms on floors 3 through 5. These turret rooms are larger rooms & have floor to
ceiling windows but no balconies and no direct Magic Kingdom views. Both room types are
considered “deluxe king” when booking and room type/view is by request only.
Other than the generous food and drink
offerings all day, there are a few other special things about staying
club level at the Grand Floridian. Any purchases made in the parks can be sent
directly from the store to your room. A concierge cast member will deliver it.
The concierge staff is available from 7 am in the morning to10 pm at night to assist guests.
The lounge is like an extension of the guest rooms. There are TVs, sofas, tables & chairs, and
a childrens area to relax in. The Royal Palm Club lounge overlooks the lobby and listening
to the live music that is played continuously from afternoon to late evening is enjoyable.
Both club levels have access to the Itinerary Planning Office. Staying concierge
at the Grand Floridian is a fun way to splurge on a
Walt Disney World vacation.
Most of the concierge guest rooms in Royal Palm Club and Sugarloaf are exactly the same as
the standard rooms in any of the other lodge buildings, except that the concierge rooms will
have DVD players. They are booked as “Standard Club Level”, which is Royal Palm Club, or
“Outer Lodge Club Level” -
rooms in the main building that have about 200 extra square feet and a little sofa sitting area.
These deluxe rooms have 2 queen beds and only sleep four guests. These are called “Deluxe
Room Club Level” when making reservations. These deluxe rooms have no Magic Kingdom views
available. The views are either courtyard or Beach Pool with Seven Seas Lagoon in the
background. In Sugarloaf there are three Lodge Tower Rooms that are request only. These
also sleep 4 with two queen beds and have an extra little seating area in the turret.
The top floor Lodge Tower Room does not have a balcony. These tower rooms have courtyard
views.
